Biografi Singkat

Irwanda Laory adalah seorang Associate Professor di School of Engineering, University of Warwick di Inggris.
Lulus dengan gelar sarjana teknik di bidang teknik sipil dari Institut Teknologi Bandung, Irwanda melanjutkan studi Master ke Bauhaus Univeritaet di Jerman (i.e. Natural Hazard and Mitigation in Structural engineering). Ini kemudian diikuti oleh studi doctoral di Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), Swiss. Penelitian Irwanda adalah di bidang infrastruktur, terutama di pengembangan metoda evaluasi struktur dengan menggunakan teknologi sensor dan kecerdasan buatan (i.e. Artificial Intelligence). Fokus riset khususnya pada infrastruktur sipil (misalnya jembatan, gedung dan terowongan), mengembangkan metode untuk mendeteksi kerusakan, mengevaluasi kinerja dan menentukan tingkat penuaan serta sisa umur desain infrastruktur.
